GETTING STARTED

WE'RE EXCITED YOU'RE HERE!

Becoming part of the Waitaha Swim Club is a step up in your swimming development as you move up from Canterbury Swim School.

A Waitaha coach will invite the swimmer to join the Club.  Doing this not only introduces the very best candidates into the teams, but gives the both the swimmer and the parents the opportunity to consider the commitments and requirements of squad training. Fundamentally, you must enjoy swimming - your coaches will help you with the rest.

SOME CONSIDERATIONS:.

Consider what it means to be part of a team so that both individual swimmer, and their team, can progress, develop a strong work ethic, and contribute to our positive team culture.

Attend training sessions regularly.

Show regular a keen interest in competing.  A minimum competitive participation level of one meet per term is required to maintain your position in your squad.
